American Greek  Melchite Succession Line

Melkite or Melchite is the name given  to Christians in the Patriarchates of Jerusalem, Alexandria, and Antioch after The Ecumenical Council of Chalcedon which took place in 451 A.D. who continued to recognize the Papal authority of Rome. Although originally the term "Melkite" was applied to all of the Chalcedonian Orthodox jurisdictions, it later came to refer specifically to The Greek Catholic Church of Antioch.

In 1724 e.v. the The Melkite Church of Antioch divided in two fractions, one still recognizing Rome, the other preferring complete autocephaly. 

1.  Cyrillos VIII Jeha (1840-1916) - Melkite-Greek Catholic Patriarch of Antioch and all the East, of Alexandria and of Jerusalem.

2.  Méléce Sawoya (1870-1919) - Consecrated on February 5, 1905 as Metropolitan Archbishop of Beirut and Gebeil, Lebanon

3.  Antoine Joseph Aneed (1881-1970) Patriarch of the Byzantine Orthodox Catholic Church consecrated by Sawoya on October 9, 1911.

4.  Herman Adrian Spruit  (1911-1991) Arch Bishop of the Church of Antioch – Syrian Malabar Rite.

5.  Forest Ernest Barber consecrated 1971 by Spruit.

6.  Michael Paul Bertiaux  - Tau Ogdoade Orfeo IV. Born January 18, 1935. Consecrated 1979 by Barber. Patriarch of the Ecclesia Gnostica Spiritualis, head of the Neo-Pythagorean Church of Illinois, VII° Honorary Arch-Bishop of the Neo-Luciferian Church. On july 3rd, 2001 he consecrated:

7. Isabel Munksgaard Berg and Bjarne Salling Pedersen - Tau Philo Sophia and Tau Lucem Fero, the Neo-Luciferian Church.
